i had like mee suah for my meals twice today!! i dunno why.. i have nv liked mee suah man.. till now lah.. and it's so damm easy to cook. within 10-15 mins u'll have like quite a full meal of mee suah. and the best is too cook it in ikan bilis soup with chinese cabbaged. saltiness of the ikan bilis and the sweetness of the chinese cabbage plus sliced chillies!! wah!!! damm power lah!!! (and of cos is i cook one so even more power!!) hee!! i think i'm going mad.. anways...

- take like a handful of ikan bilis
- add 2 and half bowls of water
- bring to a boil for abt 5 mins
- add the stems of the chinese cabbage first
- add a bit of sesame oil, chinese cooking wine and fish sauce
- boil for another 5 mins
- add the leaves of the chinese cabbage
- boil a bit more
- as for the mee suah.. pour hot water over it first
- let it soften and sit (to ensure the mee suah doesn't taste flour-y)
- pour soup over the mee suah
- slice chillies and add a bit of lemon juice + soy sauce to chillies

but of cos boiling the soup longer wld ensure that it tastes better but if u're in a hurry then no choice... add a bit more fish sauce. if got time put a bit of mince meat into the soup as well. but marinate the mince meat first (with sesame oil, chinese cooking wine, soy sauce, pepper). if adding the marinated mince meat then don't add too much fish sauce. cos the juice/marinate of the minced meat will flavour the soup. heh!
